Only the genus Nippoberaea Botosaneanu et al. is known from Japan.

Genus Nippoberaea Botosaneanu, Nozaki and Kagaya

A single species, Nippoberaea gracilis (Nozaki and Kagaya), belongs to this genus. The genus name Nipponodes was erroneouly used in the caption of figures in the original description by Botosaneanu et al. (1995), but replaced by Nippoberaea (Publisher's corrigenda (1995, 31(3), 286).
